OHIO — The Lorain Police Department arrested two individuals and seized a significant quantity of drugs during a drug trafficking investigation on Friday.
According to a police release, the department’s narcotics and road patrol units executed a search warrant on Riverside Drive as part of an investigation into Andrew Washington, 40.
During the search, officers recovered approximately 850 grams of cocaine, 55 grams of fentanyl, and various drug-related paraphernalia.
Washington was charged with felony possession and trafficking of both cocaine and fentanyl, along with additional drug-related offenses.
Police also arrested Crystal Higgins, 38, who was found inside the residence and had an active warrant from the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities credited citizen assistance as a key factor in the success of the investigation.
