OHIO — Two women were arrested Thursday night following a drug-related incident in the Kroger parking lot on South Main Street, according to the Logan County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies were alerted to a possible drug deal involving a light blue Honda CR-V with two female occupants.
A short time later, officers spotted the vehicle driving north on South Main Street and conducted a traffic stop.
The driver, Susan Frazier, 47, of Belle Center, and the passenger, Linda Hoskins, 43, of Bellefontaine, appeared visibly nervous, with deputies noting shaking hands, lack of eye contact, and other suspicious behavior.
K9 Pyro was called to assist, and the dog alerted to the presence of drugs in the vehicle.
A search revealed a vial containing a powdery substance that tested positive for cocaine, a glass pipe, and additional suspected crack cocaine.
During the arrest, Hoskins admitted drugs were hidden in her shoe and claimed Frazier had thrown the items to her before they were pulled over.
A glass pipe was also found concealed in Hoskins’ clothing. She further confessed to being a drug user with a prior criminal record.
Both women were taken to the Logan County Jail and are facing felony charges of drug possession and tampering with evidence. Frazier is also facing a probation violation.
