NORTH CAROLINA — Two people were arrested on drug charges after Kinston Police assisted Beaufort Police in locating a vehicle linked to an unauthorized use investigation on May 10.
Officers found the car in the parking lot of a local Walmart with 37-year-old Justin Dixon of Newport and 21-year-old Sierra Willis of Beaufort inside.
Dixon was taken into custody on multiple outstanding warrants from Carteret County.
Police say they recovered more than 10 grams of heroin from Dixon, which led to a further search of the vehicle.
Methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia were also found.
Dixon is now facing charges of trafficking heroin, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Willis was also arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
