
NORTH CAROLINA — Two Scotland County residents were arrested Friday following the execution of a search warrant tied to a months-long narcotics investigation, according to the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office.
Narcotics Investigator Lt. E. Haywood Jr. said the search warrant was carried out in the Hasty area of Dillon Drive as part of a four-month investigation into illegal drug distribution in the county.
As a result of the search, deputies arrested Kenneth Ryan “Rowdy” Watts Jr., who lives on Dillon Drive, and Camryn Carol Hudson of Palmer Road. Both were charged with multiple felony drug offenses.
Watts faces charges including felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, Schedule III substances including Suboxone and codeine, possession of a stolen firearm, maintaining a dwelling for the sale or delivery of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was given a $1.5 million secured bond.
Hudson was charged with felony possession with intent to manufacture, sell or deliver fentanyl, methamphetamine, marijuana, Schedule III substances including Suboxone and codeine, maintaining a dwelling for the sale or delivery of controlled substances, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Her bond was set at $1 million secured.
Both individuals are being held at the Scotland County Sheriff’s Office Detention Center and are scheduled to make their first court appearance Monday.
