Two people arrested following drug bust in North Carolina

NORTH CAROLINA — Pitt County authorities arrested two individuals on October 31 following a search of a residence tied to illegal drug and firearm activity.

Detectives with the Special Operations, Gang and Gun, and Major Crimes Units, along with deputies from Community Patrol and K-9 Units, conducted the operation, which concluded a two-month investigation into narcotics sales in the county.

The investigation was aided by tips received through Pitt-Greenville Crime Stoppers and other sources.

Officials said the search led to the seizure of illegal narcotics, three firearms, and ammunition.

Reginald Lamont Stancil, 53, was arrested and charged with three counts each of possession with intent to sell/deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, and possession of a firearm by a felon. He is being held at the Pitt County Detention Center on a $500,000 secured bond.

Jennifer Todd King, 35, was charged with possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. She appeared before a Pitt County Magistrate, was granted a $10,000 secured bond, and posted bond for her release.
