NORTH CAROLINA — The Bertie County Sheriff’s Office arrested two individuals following the execution of a narcotics search warrant on Pine Street in Lewiston/Woodville.
The search was the result of a several-month investigation into illegal drug sales by the Sheriff’s Special Operations and Criminal Investigations Divisions.
Thomas Bishop Jr., a convicted felon from Lewiston, was found inside the residence and taken into custody without incident. Authorities seized 40 grams of cocaine, 19 grams of marijuana, and two firearms during the search.
Bishop faces charges including trafficking cocaine, possession of a firearm by a felon, and maintaining a dwelling for the sale of controlled substances.
Further details about the second individual arrested have not been released. The investigation remains ongoing.
