
NORTH CAROLINA — Two men were arrested after a narcotics investigation led to a raid at a Green Acres residence, according to the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO).
Deputies executed a search warrant on July 14 at a home on Pine Circle Road following multiple community complaints about suspected drug activity in the area.
During the search, several individuals attempted to flee the scene. One person was chased through a neighboring yard before being apprehended by detectives.
Investigators seized crack cocaine, powder cocaine, marijuana, and items commonly associated with drug trafficking and packaging. U.S. currency believed to be proceeds from drug sales was also recovered.
Michael Jermaine Strickland, 41, was arrested and charged with:
- Two counts of trafficking in cocaine
- Possession with intent to manufacture, sell, and deliver (PWIMSD) cocaine
- PWIMSD a Schedule II controlled substance
- PWIMSD marijuana
- Misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia
Willis Henry Boyd, 39, was charged with misdemeanor resisting a public officer.
CCSO said its vice-narcotics detectives are continuing the investigation and working to identify additional suspects.
