MICHIGAN — A drug bust involving two hookah shops in Macomb County led to the arrest of two men and the seizure of drugs, firearms, and cash, authorities said.
On Monday, June 16, police executed search warrants at Area 51 Hookah and Tobacco locations on Gratiot Avenue in Mount Clemens and Harper Avenue in Clinton Township, as well as at a residence on Holland Avenue in Eastpointe.
During the raids, officers seized over a pound of psilocybin mushrooms, 10 pounds of marijuana, five firearms, nearly $23,000 in cash, a Chevrolet Silverado, and a Jeep Wagoneer.
A 44-year-old man and a 33-year-old man were taken into custody. Both remain held at the Macomb County Jail and are expected to be arraigned Tuesday afternoon.
