MICHIGAN — Two men have been arrested on drug-related charges following the execution of search warrants in Berrien County, according to authorities.
Investigators with the Southwest Enforcement Team, along with the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office and Michigan State Police, carried out the searches on March 25 at locations on Thrasher Avenue in Benton Harbor and Hazel Avenue in Benton Township.
Officials said the warrants stemmed from a months-long investigation into illegal drug activity.
During the search on Thrasher Avenue, authorities reported seizing cocaine, methamphetamine pills, crystal meth, hydrocodone, digital scales, packaging materials, a pistol and a semi-automatic rifle.
At the Hazel Avenue location, investigators recovered additional cocaine and materials used for drug distribution.
Authorities said two Benton Harbor men, ages 29 and 42, were arrested and lodged in the Berrien County Jail on multiple felony charges, including drug trafficking and firearm offenses.
The investigation remains ongoing.
