MARYLAND — A man and woman have been arrested in connection with a drug trafficking investigation in Lexington Park, according to the St. Mary’s County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities identified the suspects as 47-year-old Tavoy Kelly Summerville and 40-year-old Shadona Rockelle Reed.

Deputies executed a search warrant Thursday at a residence in the 20000 block of Spring Hill Road. During the search, investigators said they recovered 40.3 grams of suspected fentanyl, seven individually packaged quantities of suspected fentanyl, four unidentified white tablets, and 3.5 grams of suspected cocaine.

Investigators also located a loaded, unserialized 12-gauge firearm, commonly referred to as a “ghost gun,” along with drug paraphernalia including a digital scale and baggies.

Summerville faces multiple charges, including possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession of a large amount of fentanyl, firearm-related offenses tied to drug trafficking, and possession of a firearm without a serial number. He is being held at the St. Mary’s County Detention Center pending a bond review.

Reed is charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession with intent to use drug paraphernalia. She has been released from custody while awaiting a court date.

The investigation remains ongoing.
