MARYLAND — Two residents of Glen Burnie were arrested Thursday after police executed a search warrant and recovered suspected narcotics, drug packaging materials and more than $36,000 in cash, according to Anne Arundel County police.

On March 5, detectives with the Eastern District Strategic Patrol Team, assisted by the Northern District Strategic Patrol Team, carried out a search and seizure warrant at a residence on Forestdale Avenue as part of an ongoing drug investigation.

Before officers entered the home, members of the department’s Quick Response Team detained a male suspect at the Royal Farms located at 400 Camp Meade Road, police said.

When officers entered the residence on Forestdale Avenue, they encountered a female suspect exiting a second-floor bathroom. Investigators later determined she had allegedly attempted to discard several large bags of suspected cocaine by flushing them down the toilet.

During the search, detectives recovered multiple items consistent with drug distribution. Police said they found 14.71 grams of suspected cocaine, 50.55 grams of suspected pressed fentanyl pills, nine suspected Suboxone strips, 35 grams of suspected psilocybin mushrooms and 9 grams of suspected alprazolam — approximately 29 pills.

Authorities also recovered two digital scales, drug packaging materials and more than $36,000 in U.S. currency.

Police arrested David Angelo Figlia, 30, of Glen Burnie, and Jade Eve Geraldine Dufour, 24, also of Glen Burnie. Both were charged in connection with the investigation.
