KENTUCKY — Two people were arrested following a drug raid in Martin County, authorities said.
Judy Faye Pauley and Clarence Shane Pauley were taken into custody after deputies with the sheriff’s office found scales, money, and pills believed to be methamphetamine.
Officials also reported discovering what they suspected to be carfentanil or fentanyl at a home on 111 Bandmill Road in Inez. Bags used for packaging illegal narcotics were also recovered.
The investigation began Thursday after deputies received a complaint about illegal drug sales at the property.
Both individuals face multiple charges, including aggravated trafficking in a controlled substance (carfentanil or fentanyl derivatives, 10 grams or more), first-degree trafficking in methamphetamine (less than two grams), first-degree trafficking in an unspecified quantity of opiates, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
