KENTUCKY — A joint drug investigation has resulted in the arrest of two individuals and the seizure of a significant amount of drugs and cash, according to authorities.
George and Ashley Jessee were taken into custody following a coordinated operation involving the Corbin Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), Kentucky State Police (KSP), the Drug Enforcement and Special Investigations (DESI) unit, the Laurel County Sheriff’s Department, and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
During the investigation, law enforcement officers seized more than 12 ounces of methamphetamine, marijuana, a large sum of cash, and drug paraphernalia.
Investigators also discovered two young children living in what were described as “deplorable conditions” inside the home.

In addition, George Jessee was charged with operating on a suspended license, while Ashley Jessee faces charges of tampering with physical evidence.
She was also served with an outstanding bench warrant from Laurel County District Court related to neglect of action.
Both are currently being held at the Knox County Detention Center. The DEA is reviewing the case for possible federal charges.
