KENTUCKY — Two men were arrested on drug charges Tuesday night following an investigation at a home on North Fowler Avenue in Hopkinsville, according to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies said they went to the residence to locate 42-year-old Jack McLendon, who had six active warrants for probation violations in Christian County.

Authorities said McLendon initially attempted to flee out the door but turned back into the home after seeing a deputy outside.

After receiving consent to search the residence, deputies said they located McLendon and a second man, 55-year-old Frank Williams, inside the home along with suspected methamphetamine, marijuana, a glass pipe and a scale.

Both men were taken into custody and charged with possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Officials said McLendon’s meth possession charge is considered a third or subsequent offense.

The investigation remains ongoing.
