Two people arrested following drug bust in Kentucky

KENTUCKY — Two people were arrested on multiple drug charges following a late-night traffic stop in Knox County, according to authorities.

Deputies said the stop occurred around 11:50 p.m. on March 21 along KY-1304 in the Girdler community.

The individuals were identified as 60-year-old Ruby Daniels of West Liberty and 50-year-old Ricky Roark of Manchester.

According to investigators, deputies detected the odor of suspected marijuana coming from inside the vehicle, which led to a search.

During the search, authorities said they located suspected methamphetamine, marijuana and a used clear pipe.

Daniels and Roark were both charged with trafficking in a controlled substance in the first degree, first-degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and tampering with physical evidence.

Both were transported to the Knox County Detention Center.

The case remains under investigation.
