
ILLINOIS — Two men are in custody after authorities seized large quantities of illegal drugs during a search of a residence in Aledo, according to law enforcement officials.
The QC Metropolitan Enforcement Group (MEG) and the Aledo Police Department conducted the search following an investigation into suspected drug activity in the area.
Investigators gathered sufficient evidence to obtain a search warrant, which was executed at the residence.
During the search, officers seized approximately 119 grams of MDMA testing positive for methamphetamine, 4,697 grams of marijuana, 1,506 grams of THC wax, 63 grams of cocaine, as well as packaging materials and digital scales.
Two suspects were arrested: 22-year-old Preston Huston of Aledo and 22-year-old Dequan Huntley of Chicago.
Huston is facing charges of possession with intent to deliver 100-400 grams of methamphetamine, a Class X felony, and possession with intent to deliver 2,000-5,000 grams of cannabis, a Class 1 felony.
Huntley is charged with possession with intent to deliver 15-100 grams of cocaine, also a Class X felony, and possession with intent to deliver 500-1,000 grams of cannabis, a Class 2 felony.
Both men are being held at the Mercer County Jail pending an initial court appearance.
