FLORIDA — Two men were arrested Thursday night in Stuart following a drug deal, according to the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
Kevin Torres-Maradiaga of Lake Worth and Carlos Gomez of Pahokee were taken into custody by detectives during an operation involving multiple law enforcement agencies.
During the arrest, deputies seized two ounces of cocaine, 14 grams of cannabis, and a handgun equipped with an extended magazine.
Torres-Maradiaga is facing multiple charges, including drug trafficking, and has been placed on an immigration detainer. Detectives noted it was his second attempt to sell drugs in Martin County this week.
The investigation is ongoing.
