
ALABAMA — A routine traffic stop in Atmore led to the arrest of two people on drug charges, the Atmore Police Department reported.
Officers stopped a vehicle early Saturday morning, Nov. 15, on Alabama Highway 21 near Martinville Loop for a traffic violation. During the stop, authorities found approximately 25 grams of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.
49-year-old Teresa Hall of Uriah and 55-year-old William Lance Turberville of Monroeville were arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and possession of drug paraphernalia.
“The Atmore Police Department will continue to maintain a zero-tolerance stance on narcotics within our community and remain committed to backing that statement through proactive enforcement,” the department said. The Escambia County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the arrests.
