ALABAMA — Priceville Police say two women from Tennessee were arrested Saturday morning on multiple drug charges.

Officers stopped a vehicle on I-65 near mile marker 334 around 1 a.m. Aug. 23. The women were identified as 31-year-old Kaitlyn Renea Darnell and 63-year-old Kathy Sublett, both from Clarksville, Tenn.

A narcotics investigation following the traffic stop led to the discovery of marijuana, a methamphetamine/fentanyl mixture, and drug paraphernalia in the vehicle.

During the booking process, jail staff found that Darnell had hidden an additional item of drug paraphernalia in her undergarments.

Darnell is charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, second-degree promoting prison contraband, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. A hold was also placed on her for a felony arrest warrant related to motor vehicle theft issued by the Guntersville Police Department.

Sublett faces charges of trafficking in dangerous drugs, second-degree unlawful possession of marijuana, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.

A Morgan County Circuit Judge set Darnell’s bond at $80,300 and Sublett’s bond at $105,300. Both women were taken to the Morgan County Jail.
