ALABAMA — Two people were arrested on drug charges late Tuesday night after a traffic stop near Point Mallard Parkway and Indian Hills Road, according to Priceville police.
Officers conducted the stop around 10:20 p.m., which led to a narcotics field investigation.
During the search, police discovered a mixture of methamphetamine and fentanyl, along with a portable scale.
Zachary Justin Akridge, 44, of Hartselle, and Michelle Layne Demike, 43, of Falkville, were taken into custody and transported to the Morgan County Jail.
Akridge is charged with trafficking dangerous drugs and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
His bond was set at $50,300. Demike faces a charge of trafficking dangerous drugs with a bond set at $50,000.
The investigation remains ongoing.
