INDIANA — Two 18-year-olds have been arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of an 86-year-old woman in Fort Wayne, police announced Friday.
Officers were called to the 900 block of Colerick Street just before 2 a.m. on Sunday, June 1.
Upon arrival, they found Alice Hall suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Despite life-saving efforts, medics pronounced her dead at the scene.
On Friday morning, the Fort Wayne Police Department reported the arrests of Devon Stewart Jr. and William Britt.
Stewart was taken into custody in the 4200 block of Bowser Avenue, while Britt was arrested in the 3400 block of North Wells Street.
Stewart faces a preliminary charge of murder, while Britt is charged with murder-acting in concert. The investigation is ongoing.
