GEORGIA — Two men have been arrested and charged in connection with a burglary at Pepsi’s Food Mart in Tifton, according to the Tifton Police Department (TPD).
The incident occurred Thursday, Sept. 4, around 10:15 a.m. Police identified the suspects as Aarinton Griffin, 36, of Roswell, and Labrinzo Stephens, 48, of Atlanta.
Investigators said surveillance video showed Griffin and Stephens arriving at the store in a black, newer-model Chevrolet Blazer around 7:15 a.m.
One man distracted the cashier while the other allegedly broke into the office and stole a large amount of cash. Both men were later seen leaving the business and heading northbound on Interstate 75.
With assistance from the Dooly County Sheriff’s Office, officers were able to locate the suspects.
Griffin and Stephens are each charged with one count of second-degree burglary.
