OHIO — Solon police arrested two people Saturday after a distraction-style armed robbery at a T-Mobile store resulted in the theft of $23,000 worth of merchandise.
Officers said the incident occurred around 11:40 a.m. at the store on SOM Center Road. A worker reported he was assisting a woman and her 4-year-old child when he briefly stepped into the back room.
At that point, an armed suspect entered the store, pointed a gun at the employee, and ordered him to load cell phones and tablets into a garbage bag.
The employee later discovered he was alone in the store, and police quickly launched a search. Investigators said they located a parked car containing cell phone boxes and soon tracked down the suspect, who was found hiding nearby with the woman and child.
Police identified the man as Anthony Gore, 32, of Bedford, who has been charged with aggravated robbery. The woman, Erica Mosley, 27, of Cleveland, faces charges of complicity to aggravated robbery and child endangering.
Authorities said the child was placed in the care of a family member. Officers recovered approximately $4,000 in cash during the investigation. Both Gore and Mosley were taken to jail.
