
ALABAMA — Two people were arrested following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of methamphetamine earlier this month, according to the Eufaula Police Department.
The incident occurred March 4 on South Eufaula Avenue near Davis Street. Police say a K9 alerted officers to a vehicle during the stop, prompting a search that uncovered approximately two ounces of methamphetamine.
Authorities said that when officers attempted to detain the individuals, a male suspect fled on foot. He was later apprehended after a brief chase.
Davonte’ Fredrick Marquice Sneed, 26, of Eufaula, is charged with trafficking, resisting arrest and attempting to elude law enforcement.
Santana Kenny McCrae, 41, also of Eufaula, was arrested on an out-of-state warrant for drug trafficking.
Both suspects remain in custody as the investigation continues.
