
MARYLAND — Two people were arrested after a stolen vehicle investigation led to a drug bust at a motel in Anne Arundel County, according to police.
Authorities said the incident began Friday when an automated license plate reader alerted an officer to a stolen 2008 Kia.
Police said the vehicle was located in the parking lot of a Motel 6, where officers made contact with two individuals identified as Jacori Coates and Horacio Silva.
During the investigation, officials said the driver was found in possession of approximately 27.17 grams of suspected crack cocaine, 14.24 grams of suspected fentanyl, 1.02 grams of an unidentified white powder and $1,327 in cash.
Both individuals were taken into custody and charged in connection with the case.
No additional details about the charges or court appearances were immediately released.
The investigation remains ongoing.
