SOUTH CAROLINA — A man and a woman were arrested Monday after a two-year-old child was found inside a home containing fentanyl, other illegal drugs and firearms, according to the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies executed a search warrant Feb. 9 at a residence in the 900 block of Brown Street in Camden.

During the search, investigators seized large quantities of fentanyl, marijuana and methamphetamine, as well as controlled pills, buprenorphine strips, digital scales, a fentanyl press and three firearms.

Authorities said the child was inside the home at the time of the search. The residence is located within a half-mile of Camden Middle School.

Jeremy Lee Ray, 37, and Tiffany Nicole Haas, 35, were taken into custody and are facing multiple charges related to drug trafficking and child endangerment. Additional charges may be filed as the investigation continues.

The child was removed from the home, and the Department of Social Services was notified. No further details about the child’s condition were released.

The investigation remains ongoing.
