
KENTUCKY — Two people were injured in a crash in Rockcastle County Tuesday morning that prompted a response from two medical helicopters.
According to Kentucky State Police, the crash happened on Rose Hill Road near Lake Linville. Troopers say a woman driving an SUV ran off the road and struck a tree.
The driver and her juvenile passenger were both hurt. Authorities called in two helicopters to airlift the victims from a landing zone at Rockcastle County High School.
State police are investigating what caused the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
