TENNESSEE — Two people have been charged with first-degree murder following the death of a man in Kingsport on Monday.
The Kingsport Police Department (KPD) reported that Krysten Atkins and Tyler Holly are each charged with one count of first-degree murder. Holly also faces a charge of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder.
The charges stem from the death of 37-year-old Johnathon Reed, who was found dead at an address on Sky South Road Monday morning. Officers responded in the early hours after receiving a 911 call reporting gunshots and a person lying on the ground.
Atkins and Holly were identified as persons of interest and located around 5 p.m. Monday. Atkins was taken to the Sullivan County Jail, while Holly is being held in the Kingsport City Jail as of Wednesday.
