Two injured, including state trooper, in Upper Sandusky crash

UPPER SANDUSKY — A crash on U.S. 23 in Upper Sandusky on Tuesday afternoon left two people injured, including an Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) trooper.

According to a press release from the OSHP, a 38-year-old Powell resident was traveling northbound when their vehicle struck the rear of a marked OSHP cruiser.

The driver was flown to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center with serious injuries, while the trooper was transported by ambulance to Blanchard Valley Hospital.

The crash is still under investigation.
