Two dead after police pursuit ends in crash in Ohio

OHIO — Two people are dead following a police pursuit that ended in a crash Saturday evening, according to Grove City police.

The incident began around 6:45 p.m. when an individual reportedly committed several thefts in the Park Center area. Police said the suspect vehicle struck a police cruiser while attempting to flee.

Witnesses reported seeing the vehicle traveling at high speeds on the wrong side of White and Hoover roads. Officers attempted to intercept the car, but it ultimately crashed near Greenlawn Avenue.

Two people connected to the thefts died from injuries sustained in the crash. Their identities have not yet been released.

No officers or civilians were injured, police said. The investigation is ongoing.
