OHIO — Two brothers are in Mahoning County Jail awaiting court appearances after an alleged fight at a Boardman residence late Friday.
Kenneth Robert Perkins, 33, of Austintown, and Michael J. Perkins, 35, of Youngstown, were arrested this week by the U.S. Marshals on warrants issued by the Boardman Police Department.
Police responded to a home on Clifton Drive following a report of a fight and found injured individuals on the front porch. Officers noted that the front door glass had been broken.
Victims told investigators that Michael Perkins had initially been asked to leave the home but returned about 10 minutes later with his brother. During the altercation, one victim said they were struck in the back of the head, and Michael Perkins allegedly used brass knuckles.
One victim was treated at Akron Children’s Hospital for a cut under his left eye, while another received care at Mercy Health Boardman for head injuries, including at least three deep cuts to the side of his head and scalp. The suspects fled the scene toward Southern Boulevard.
Kenneth Perkins faces aggravated burglary, while Michael Perkins faces aggravated burglary and felonious assaultcharges. Both remain in custody with no bond set. An initial court hearing was scheduled for Thursday at 4 p.m.
