
GEORGIA — A drug investigation at a fruit stand in Paulding County led to the seizure of methamphetamine and charges against two people, with a third suspect still being sought, according to the Paulding County Sheriff’s Office.
Last month, the Northwest Georgia Drug Task Force, along with the Sheriff’s Office K-9 Division and SWAT team, searched a fruit stand in the 3100 block of Due West Road.
During the operation, authorities said they recovered approximately 270 grams of methamphetamine.
Melvin Stevens has been charged with five counts of trafficking meth and one count of possession of meth. Athena Alloway is charged with four counts of trafficking meth and one count of possession of meth.
A third suspect, Crystal Ballweg, remains wanted on an outstanding warrant for trafficking meth in connection with the case.
The investigation is ongoing.
