INDIANA — Two people are in jail after police seized drugs and a firearm from a home on Friday, according to the Richmond Police Department.
Officers were searching for 28-year-old Brittany Elsea, who had an active warrant for theft and drug possession.
They located her at a residence in the 100 block of Fort Wayne Avenue.
While at the home, officers observed evidence of drug use and obtained a search warrant.
The search led to the discovery of more than 93 grams of heroin, 38 grams of methamphetamine, 11 grams of cocaine, a firearm, and additional illegal substances and paraphernalia.
Everett Cooper, 44, was also found at the residence and allegedly had cocaine in his possession at the time of his arrest.
Both Elsea and Cooper were booked into the Wayne County Jail.
Elsea faces preliminary charges of possession of a firearm, possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of paraphernalia, and failure to appear.
Cooper was booked on a preliminary charge of possession of cocaine or a narcotic drug.
The investigation remains ongoing.
