PENNSYLVANIA — Traffic delays increased on the Pennsylvania Turnpike Thursday morning after a tractor-trailer caught fire in Lebanon County, according to a spokesperson for the turnpike.

The fire occurred around 4:45 a.m. in the westbound lanes of Interstate 76 in South Londonderry Township.

Officials said the incident is located near the Lawn Service Plaza, between Exit 266 for Lebanon/Manheim and Exit 247 for Harrisburg East.

As a result of the fire, the right westbound lane is shut down while fire crews work to extinguish the blaze. Traffic quickly backed up in the area as emergency responders remained on the scene.

Drivers traveling through the area are urged to remain alert and use caution. Authorities said it was not immediately clear whether anyone was injured in the incident.
