
OHIO — A trailer carrying eggs caught fire Thursday morning, forcing the closure of northbound lanes on Interstate 75 in Auglaize County.
According to the Ohio Department of Transportation, the fire occurred on I-75 northbound just north of Wapakoneta.
Officials said the fire was first reported around 7:40 a.m., according to dispatchers with the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
All northbound lanes were closed north of State Route 67 as crews responded to the scene. Authorities said cleanup efforts are expected to take several hours.
No injuries have been reported.
Drivers traveling through the area are advised to expect delays and seek alternate routes as crews work to clear the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
