Tornadoes possible in parts of Ohio Sunday

OHIO — The National Weather Service has issued Tornado Watch 53 for parts of East Central Ohio, effective until 4 p.m. EDT this afternoon.

The watch includes 11 counties: Belmont, Carroll, Columbiana, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Jefferson, Monroe, Muskingum, Noble, and Tuscarawas.

Residents in these areas should remain alert for rapidly changing weather conditions and be prepared to take shelter if a warning is issued.

A tornado watch means that conditions are favorable for tornadoes to develop.
