CLEVELAND — Cleveland police arrested three teenage boys on Tuesday night who are suspected of a series of car break-ins in the Detroit Shoreway neighborhood.
Authorities believe the teens may have been involved in numerous other break-ins over the past several weeks.
The suspects, aged 14, 16, and 17, are linked to 14 reported car break-ins that occurred last Thursday, according to a release from the Cleveland Division of Police.
The teens were located using various investigative techniques, police said.
In addition to the break-ins, police reported that the teens were found in possession of a car stolen from Cleveland Heights. One of the teens was also arrested with a stolen firearm.
Police are investigating the teens’ possible involvement in other break-ins that have occurred in recent weeks.
Two of the suspects are currently being held at the Cuyahoga County Juvenile Detention Center, while the third has been released with a GPS monitor. The investigation remains ongoing.
