SOUTH CAROLINA — Three people were injured Sunday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash in Horry County, according to emergency officials.

Horry County Fire Rescue responded to the scene just before 1:00 p.m. at the intersection of East Highway 9 and Camp Swamp Road in Loris.

The crash resulted in entrapment, prompting extrication operations by first responders to free the individuals trapped in the vehicles.

All three injured individuals were transported to the hospital. Their conditions have not been released.

Authorities advised drivers to avoid the area, as traffic lanes were blocked for an extended period during the emergency response and cleanup.
