OHIO — A man suffered life-threatening injuries in a two-vehicle crash Saturday evening at the intersection of State Route 303 and State Route 60, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers from the Norwalk Post responded to the scene just before 7:30 p.m.
Investigators say Betty Jarvis, 75, of Elyria, was driving eastbound on SR 303 when she failed to stop at a posted stop sign.
Her vehicle entered the intersection and collided with a southbound vehicle driven by Vincent Davis, 37, of Wakeman.
The impact sent Jarvis’ car off the road and into a tree. Davis’ vehicle veered off the road, striking a bush and a chicken coop.
Jarvis and her passenger were transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. Davis sustained life-threatening injuries and was initially taken to Fisher-Titus Hospital before being airlifted to Cleveland Metro Hospital.
No charges have been filed at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
