OHIO — Three people were injured following a two-vehicle crash involving a tanker truck early Saturday morning in Clark County.

According to a dispatcher with the Ohio State Patrol, the crash was reported just after 4 a.m. on State Route 4 near Enon Road.

An initial investigation found that a tanker truck and a passenger vehicle were both traveling northbound on SR 4 when they collided. The impact caused the tanker truck to leave the right side of the roadway and overturn into a ditch. The passenger vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and came to a stop in the roadway.

The tanker truck, which was hauling milk, rolled onto its side, resulting in a spill into the ditch.

The driver of the tanker truck was transported to Miami Valley Hospital and was reported to be in stable condition. Two occupants inside the passenger vehicle were taken to Springfield Regional Medical Center, where they were also listed in stable condition.

As of Saturday morning, State Route 4 northbound remained closed at Enon Road in Clark County while crews worked to clean up the milk spill and clear the crash scene.
