LOUISIANA — Three people were injured in a shooting in the city’s Central City neighborhood Thursday evening, according to the New Orleans Police Department.
Police said the shooting occurred on Philip Street near Willow Street. Officers were called to the scene around 8:44 p.m., where they found three victims suffering from gunshot wounds.
The victims — two men and one woman — were transported to a hospital. Authorities said their injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.
Investigators also confirmed a second scene connected to the incident at Elysian Fields Avenue and Marigny Street. A person has been detained for questioning in connection with the case.
Louisiana State Police assisted in the search, including providing air support.
The investigation remains ongoing, and additional details have not yet been released.
