PENNSYLVANIA — A vehicle crashed into a Denny’s restaurant in Scott Township, Allegheny County, Wednesday morning, sending three people to be treated for minor injuries.

According to police, emergency medical services and firefighters were called to the Denny’s located on Greentree Road after reports that a vehicle had smashed through the front of the building. Authorities said three people were injured in the incident, though their injuries were described as minor.

Police in Scott Township released images from inside the restaurant showing the front of the vehicle lodged through the glass exterior, with several dining booths damaged and displaced as a result of the crash.

Officials said the restaurant is currently closed while the extent of the damage is evaluated. A structural engineer will be required to examine the building before it can reopen.
