OHIO — Police are searching for a suspect after a mother and her two children were found shot inside a vehicle early Christmas morning in Cincinnati’s West End.
According to the Cincinnati Police Department, District One officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert along Central Avenue near Kindel Avenue just before 3 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located a 36-year-old woman and her two daughters, ages 10 and 15, suffering from gunshot wounds inside a car.
The two children were transported to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center for treatment, while the mother was taken to University of Cincinnati Medical Center. Police said all three victims are expected to survive.
Investigators have identified a suspect but have not released the individual’s name, and no arrests have been announced. Police said the suspect is believed to have fled the scene in a silver Chevrolet Impala.
Authorities reported there were no known witnesses to the shooting and no 911 calls were made. The investigation remains ongoing.
