FLORIDA — A woman and two children were found dead inside a Lakewood Ranch home Thursday evening, according to the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies responded around 8:30 p.m. to a home in the 8200 block of Pavia Way to conduct a welfare check. Authorities said the check was requested by the homeowner, who was out of town at the time.
When deputies arrived, they observed circumstances that prompted them to enter the residence. Inside, they discovered an adult woman and two children deceased.
Investigators said all parties have been accounted for and there is no threat to the community.
As of Friday morning, detectives were still processing the scene. The cause of death is pending the medical examiner’s investigation.
No additional details have been released.
