Three people dead following vehicle crash in Ohio

OHIO — Three people were killed and another was seriously injured in a head-on collision Friday night in Thompson Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.

The crash happened around 10:10 p.m. on Hoskins Road when a 2017 Honda Civic traveling eastbound collided with a 2014 Dodge Dart heading westbound.

Troopers said the driver of the Civic, 19-year-old Olivia Kroft, and two passengers, 23-year-old Breyden Floyd and 19-year-old Michael Pinkerton, were pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Dodge Dart was taken to The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center with serious injuries. Authorities said the driver was wearing a seat belt, while none of the occupants in the Civic had theirs on.

Investigators have not determined whether impairment or distractions contributed to the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
