
FLORIDA — Three teenagers were killed and another was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash in Franklin County, according to authorities.
The Florida Highway Patrol said four teens were traveling in a car when it struck a tree. Two males, ages 17 and 18, and a 17-year-old female died as a result of the crash.
A fourth occupant, a 16-year-old female, was transported in critical condition.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and Florida Highway Patrol are investigating the crash. Sheriff A.J. Smith said a portion of Highway 65 will remain closed for several hours as emergency crews continue working at the scene.
Investigators said the vehicle involved was not from Florida. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
