FLORIDA — Three people were killed and another was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Volusia County late Saturday, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The crash happened just before 10 p.m. in DeBary and involved four vehicles: a Dodge Durango, a Ford Focus, a motorcycle, and a Honda Pilot.
Troopers said the driver of the Durango changed lanes and struck the Focus, triggering a chain reaction. The motorcycle rider, along with the driver and passenger of the Honda Pilot, were all killed. Another person was seriously hurt.
FHP said the driver of the Durango fled the scene. The vehicle was later found unattended in a parking lot and taken as evidence.
The crash remains under investigation.
