Three people arrested in connection to copper theft in Louisiana

LOUISIANA — Three people have been arrested and charged with felony theft in connection with a copper wire theft investigation in St. Bernard Parish, according to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies identified the suspects taken into custody as Zoe Zanca, 24; Luis Sloan, 25; and Gregory Bondi, 29. Investigators allege the three were involved in stealing copper wire, which authorities say has caused significant financial losses.

Sheriff James Pohlmann said the sheriff’s office has been investigating multiple copper wire thefts affecting two national cellular and internet service providers. According to the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office, the thefts resulted in several thousand dollars in damages.

Deputies said two additional suspects remain at large. They were identified as Logan Neumeyer and Keith McKinnis. Authorities did not release details about where the thefts occurred or when the incidents took place.

The investigation remains ongoing, and officials encourage anyone with information related to the case to contact the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office.
