LOUISIANA — Deputies with the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office (APSO) arrested three men on drug charges following raids at a smoke shop, storage facility, and two residences, authorities said.

The APSO Narcotics Division identified the suspects as Yezzun Adel Ammuri, 27, Omar Adel Ammuri, 25, and Saleh K. Alkhatic, 33. All three were booked into the Ascension Parish Jail.

Detectives executed search warrants at Diganja Smoke Shop in Geismar, Almighty Storage in Prairieville, an apartment on Dutchtown Point Avenue in Gonzales, and a home on Oak Run Drive in Geismar.

During the raids, officers seized marijuana, cocaine, THC vape products, kratom, mushrooms, prescription medications, other controlled substances, two firearms — one of them reported stolen — and an undisclosed amount of cash.

The Louisiana Office of Alcohol and Tobacco Control also confiscated 676 illegal products from the Diganja Smoke Shop.

APSO said the arrests stemmed from an investigation into what officials described as the “Yezzin Ammuri drug ring.”
