OHIO — Authorities have arrested a third suspect in connection with last week’s drug bust on Tanglewood Drive.
Sheryl Sue Assad, 48, was taken into custody around 1 p.m. on the 100 block of St. Patrick Street by Warren County Sheriff’s deputies and investigators.
She has been charged with trafficking methamphetamine after authorities linked her to a mobile home used for drug storage.
According to Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace, Assad rented the mobile home in her name, which was used by Thomas Jones to store crystal meth.
She is currently being held at the Warren County Jail and is scheduled to appear in Warren County Justice Court on Wednesday.
Last week’s operation, conducted by the Vicksburg Police Department and the Warren County Sheriff’s Office, resulted in the seizure of approximately 217 grams (about ½ pound) of crystal methamphetamine, 131 pressed fentanyl pills, ½ ounce of crack cocaine, and $4,148 in cash.
The estimated street value of the confiscated drugs is $7,800.
Jones and Charley Lee Brown were previously arrested in connection with the bust.
